Yoga is taught with themes in a fun and engaging way, helping youngsters through childhood and teenage years, into adulthood. Classes are run with support from Active Schools and Local Head Teachers.

School Curricular Yoga
School Curricular time classes are arranged by appointment through Active Schools or me direct. Classes can be taught as part of School Health Weeks or simply to address a particular school need or ambition.
Yoga classes meet several objectives of the Scottish Government’s Curriculum for Excellence by providing physical and mental health life skills to support the academic learning of pupils and their personal growth. Classes are extremely beneficial for pupils, their families and teachers too. I support teachers by providing relaxation and concentration techniques to be used in the classroom.
Schools I regularly teach at include:- Inverurie & Meldrum Academies and various Primary Schools including: Methlick, Pitmedden, Daviot, Strathburn, Hatton of Fintray, Rayne North, Logie Durno & Insch Schools.
Curricular Bookings by appointment
To arrange sessions please contact your Active Schools Co-ordinator or me direct. Costs are on an Aberdeenshire Council hourly rate timesheet basis and administered through Aberdeenshire Council.
Active Schools and I can provide up to 25 yoga mats and additional teaching resources on the day. Lesson plans can be submitted in advance and adapted to suit specific needs. Schools provide the space, ideally a gym or general purpose room, with times agreed by discussion. Outdoor yoga is encouraged in the Summer months, weather permitting, and sometimes Parents are invited to join in curricular class sessions.
